Confinement for 2 Weeks....

Andre is 2 weeks old now and so it means, I had been doing my confinement for 2 weeks too. It is still bearable as I had a relatively good confinement lady (CL). She helps me by looking after the baby 24 hrs a day. I hardly had time to hold n carry him. Every time when I carry him, my CL will come over and attempt to carry him away. This really pisses me off sometimes. When I told her I wanna carry him for a while, she will sit there n look at me and can't wait for me to pass Andre to her. Though I know that she means well and she wanna do her job by letting me rest, but I'm still his mother and I need to bond wif him too....

Some other things that pisses me off:

1) I don't like it when she carry Andre wif her wet hands...
2) She keeps all the plates, bowls and pots into the cabinet when they weren't fully dry. This causes my cabinet to give out a very foul smell...
3) She tends to warm the breast milk till it is quite hot n over temp of 40 degrees...this might cause the breast milk to lose its nutrients and it will also burn baby's throat if he drinks the milk too hot...
4) This is supposed to be good - she don like to sleep in aircon room. But sometimes the weather is just too hot and when Andre sleeps in his playpen, he will perspire as the fan can hardly reach him. He will then cry and cannot have a gd nite sleep.

But still, I must give her the due credit as she really does her job well. She is easy going and will cook for my hb's family or my mother when they come over.

She also takes good care of baby Andre and even help me wif Amadeus. She will help me get ready Amadeus milk bottle and water bottle every morning and even offer to bathe Amadeus in the evening.

She is very initiative - she will pour red date tea for me without me asking and will do it every few hrs (till date, I haven't pour a cup for myself since confinement starts). She insist in helping us wash our clothes n ask us to teach her how to use the washing machine though I told her I will do it myself. She will serve me my lunch n dinner-I just need to wait at the dining table.

Overall, she is good though there are things that I don't like. Guess nothing is perfect and I just have to keep one eye shut till this confinement ends...2 more weeks to go.
