1st Day of CNY

The 1st day of CNY had been very hectic for us ever since hb and I got married...we had to rush to 6 places lor and luckily most of the places are quite near to one another at Toa Payoh area...but hb and I were shag out by the time we went to the 3rd place, not to mention Amadeus lor...but he still enjoyed himself and he was also a very good boy today...he let himself be carried ard by different relatives without any complaint and even played happily with them...so proud of him :) By the time we reached home, it was already 10pm plus at nite and after feeding & bathing Amadeus, he went to sleep almost immediately.

1st Stop: FIL's Place
We reached FIL's place at abt 11am and after 1/2 an hr, we were on our way to my mom's place...

2nd Stop: Mom's Place
Today besides pai nian, we also celebrated my sis's 2nd son b'day which falls on the 9th of Feb which is also the same as my bro's b'day...very qiao rite...spent more than 2 hrs there as we had to wait for my cousins to come b4 we cut the b'day cake...

3rd Stop: FIL's Sis Place
On the way to our 3rd stop, I received a call from my dad asking me wat time I'm going over to my 2nd grandma's place as almost all the relatives are there liao....really very stressed lor! After reaching our 3rd destination, we quickly had our lunch and 1/2 halfway thru, received another call from one of my relatives saying they were leaving soon and asked me to go there asap. So hb had to finsh up his lunch in double quick time. Luckily our 4th stop were nearby only.

4th Stop: 2nd Grandma's Place
This yr was very special cos normally my 1st grandma does not speak to my 2nd grandma but I was surprised to see my 1st grandma at her place...but I did not have much time to talk to all the relatives as I was busy receiving angbaos and giving out at the same time as they were rushing off liao...Everything seems to be in a rush and I forgot to give my 2nd grandma her angbao and she asked me for it...I was so pai seh lor...quickly pass to her....and 15 mins later, I was on the way to my 5th stop...

5th Stop: FIL's Bro Place
Hb and I were so tired from all the travelling...and when we reached our 5th destination, Amadeus was also very tired, sleepy and hungry. He fell asleep after drinking his milk. Finally, hb and I can catch our breathe as the last stop was my SIL's place and she was here wif us so we can take our time to catch up wif hb's cousins.

Last Stop: SIL's Place
For the past 3 yrs, we would go to SIL's place and then to her MIL's for dinner. She stayed jus 3 floors below her in laws...We would idle at SIL's house 1st and wait till all her MIL's relatives left b4 we went up for dinner so tat it would not be so crowded...b4 we left, Amadeus gave us a present, ie, his poo...it was so smelly though it was only a little...

When we reached home and settled Amadeus, we took out his angbaos and counted his moni...it was a substantial amt though we still could not recoup back wat we had given out...but it was ok as it was only once a yr...
