A trip to the Swimming Pool (Dtd 7th Jan 2009)

Amadeus used to love swimming but as it had been quite sometime since we brought him swimming, he started crying when we put him inside the pool and wanna get out immediately. He only dare to play around at the edge of the pool and when the water was at his knee level, he will turned back immediately to dry land...on my! my son had become such a coward!

Guess we need to bring him to the swimming pool more often and tat he will overcome his fear soon.

A trip to Marina Barrage on 2nd Jan 2009

Hubby wanted to bring us to Marina Barage for the longest time and finally today, we manage to make a trip down. The place was quite nice but we didn't let Amadeus played wif the water there as it was rather windy and hubby was scared that he might caught a chill.

We explored around the place and we went to the observatory to tour the place n it was inside there that something hilarious happened. There was one section where we had to walk on glass panels. Amadeus on seeing the glass panels stood rooted on the ground n refused to move an inch. It was very funny lor n some of the staff even came over to look at Amadeus.

Pre-natal Check-up on 5th Jan

I went for my detailed scanning on the 5th Jan and I'm glad tat Baby Andre (yes, tat is our 2nd baby's name) is doing fine inside me - growing healthily. According to my gynae, Andre is slightly above average in weight and also rather tall. Really glad to know tat and another thing is he had already faced down which is very surprising for us as Amadeus only turned when I'm about in my 9th mth.

I'm also very happy that as at 5th Jan, I only put on 2 kg. But as of now, which is 24th Jan, I already put on 4kg. I hoped that for this pregnancy I will not put on more than 10kg as I looked very fat and bloated now and I hated it.

Will update more abt Andre when I went for my next appt on 4th Feb.

18th Mth Booster Jab cum Assessment

We brought Amadeus to his PD at Rivermall for his 18th mth booster jab on the 26th Dec 2008. We also decided to let him take chicken pox vaccine as recommended by the PD.

As expected, he got suspicious when I carried him upright and pulled down his shorts (the PD wanna jab his butt). He began to struggle and started crying big time but after the 2 jabs, he started to calm down n started smiling again after we left the room.

But as the PD didn't complete his 18th mth assessment in the health booklet, I made an appointment at SengKang Polyclinic on the 13th Jan 2009 to do a thorough check on Amadeus. But who knows, he cried till very bad when the doc wanna examine his eyes and kept pushing the doc's hand away when he tried to touch his testicles. He even refused to let us remove his diaper...Haiz...I hope his probia in seeing a doc will disappear soon after he reached 2 yrs old...in the end, the doc didn't manage to check anything and asked us to come back again when Amadeus is 3 yrs old.

I'm so glad tat all the compulsory jabs are over n he even receive a certificate for completing all his vaccination from his PD. His stats as at 18th plus mth:

Andy Lau's Wonderful World Concert 2008 (dtd 13th Dec 2008)

Hb and I went to Andy Lau's concert on 13th Dec as part of our 2nd wedding anniversay celebration. The concert was awesome and I really enjoyed it...the atmosphere was great but sadly our seat was quite far away from the stage though I already bought the best seats, hence I couldn't see Andy's face clearly *so sad* and I had to stand up for half of the show jus to be able to watch the performance.

The zooming in of my camera was so lousy tat even after I zoomed fully, the picture was still so small *angry* So I have to resort taking pics of him from the big screen....guess it's time to change to a better camera...another sad thing was tat my camera and Hp batt went flat halfway thru the show hence I was not able to capture the encore part which was quite entertaining.

Weaning of the Pacifier

Today hb and I decided tat it is time to wean Amadeus off the pacifier as he seems to have buck-teeth. W expected that we will have a hard time weaning him off as he is such an addict to pacifier...

True enough, during nap time, he started to cry n it got worse n worse when he can't find his pacifier. Hence, I cut up his pacifier in front of him but he still happily took the cut-up pacifier n put into his mouth and went into his oom for his nap. But as he was unable to suck the pacifier, he started to struggle and made a fuss for an hour before he fell asleep. But he only nap for an hour and he was up (Normally his nap time would be abt 2-3 hrs)...

But comes nite time, he seems to have got over the idea of no pacifier and hb didn't have to pacify him. Hb jus patted him and soon he was off to his lalaland....We were very surprised but proud of our darling son for not making any fuss...Well done, Amadeus :)
