The 9th Mths Assessment

I brought Amadeus to Sengkang Polyclinic on 26 March for his 9 months assessment on my own. Oh my! He was so active at the clinic and while waiting for his turn, he kept on making noises and disturbed 2 babies who were sleeping away and he also kept on smiling at strangers though they never reciprocate.

When it was Amadeus' turn, strangly he sat very quietly on my lap while the nurse updated her record on all the jabs that Amadeus had took. But once I put him on the weighing machine, he cannot sat still at all lor, kept moving n even when the nurse passed him a toy, it's still the same and the ultimate thing is, he lie down on the machine after happily took the toy from the nurse to play! (lazy boy! & the nurse gave up and his weight was only an estimation)

After tat, the nurse checked on his motor skills, hearing and some basics. The nurse asked me not to let Amadeus sat on walker n I told her tat I didn't let him n I think the nurse must be short of hearing and memory and kept repeating tat to me. Make me so frustrated and angry! Overall, he passed everything, the ony problem is to let him try stand up more often so that his legs will be stronger.

Amadeus stats as at 9 months and 2 days:

Weight: 9kg - 75 percentile
Height: 75cm - 90 percentile
Head circumference: 44.5cm - abt 30 percentile

Yesterday our darling son turned 9th mths old :)

In 3 mths times' he will be 1 yr old liao...times really flies and I hope tat he will always remain healthy and cheerful :)

A day to remember....

Today is indeed a day to remember cos my darling son gives me a lot of surprises...

1) He started to drink 240ml of milk, 3 times a day and like still not enough like tat...kept sucking even when the milk had finished...time to upgrade his mik bottles to the big Avent bottles liao...

2) He started to drink a lot of water...normally when I gave him water to drink, he will only drink maybe 5-10ml only but today he kept drinking n drinking n finished up all the water in the bottle...really surprises me :)

3) He slept for 4 hrs for his afternoon nap today but got wake up in btw to drink his milk...the longest he slept recently for nap is 3 hrs straight...

4) After his dinner, I brought his bowl to the kitchen and I heard him say, papapapapapapapa...kept saying this lor...really very happy to hear him mumble something tat I can finally understand but abit jealous tat he called his papa first instead of mama...but its ok....but hor, poor hb never heard his son called him as he was away in India and will only be back tomolo...but jus now when he called back, jus nice Amadeus was mumbling papa again though this time it was not as clear as the 1st time but nevertheless hb was happy to hear tat...

To India...

Jus now sent hb to airport as he is going to India for business trip and will only be back next Wednesday...baby n I will miss u, dear...

Amadeus' New Hairdo...

On 6th March, we brought Amadeus to trim his hair as his hair was getting long n quite messy...

Potty Training

2 weeks ago, we decided to train him to use the potty to do his big business but he thought that we were playing wif him and kept laughing when he was on it...no matter how we coax him to poo, he refused n kept playing wif us....so we gave up n I went to change him...who knows...he poo on his newly changed diaper...*haiz*....really a naughty boy!

Today is my good fren, Ah Lim's wedding...but hor Amadeus is still suffering from fever from the P jab...but nevertheless, we still brought him to the dinner...Thinking back, it was really a big mistake cos he was quite cranky...cannot blame him la cos he was not feeling well...shld had left him at my SIL's place...haiz...we would had enjoyed the dinner more if we didnt brought him along...never mind...a lesson learnt...

Yesterday afternoon I met 1 forum fren n her son for lunch at Suki Yaki at Punggol Plaza, & though her son is 1 day younger than Amadeus, he can already sit very well without support and his legs also quite strong lor as he can stand wif support...wondering when will Amadeus be like him...hmmmmm...

After lunch, I brought Amadeus for the pneumococcal jab...it is $158 per jab and Amadeus had another 2 more jabs to go lor for this Prevenar...so bloody expensive leh this jab...Amadeus cried after the jab had been administered and his reaction quite slow lor...he started to feel pain after 5 secs sfter the jab is done...n he cried very loud lor...i see liao, I can't stop laughing at him...*evil me*...hee hee...but luckily he only cried for a while nia...He is now 8.7kg but I think the weighing machine not accurate lor cos 2 weeks ago, he was 8.8kg lor when I took him to c a PD...He had been eating n drinking well so shouldn't be losing weight mah....

In the evening, hb wanna eat western food so we decided to try out the food at Botak Jones...we went to the AMK branch n the food is ok lor, not really fantastic la...then we went to Sheng Siong for a while to shop shop...As hb don't wanna go home so early, we decided to explore Punggol and we drove ard the estate...To my surprise, there is a Punggol beach at Punggol!!! I'm so suanku lor cos I didnt know the existence of this beach...hahaha...there is also a Punggol Point holiday camp where there are resorts to be rented out ( I think so la cos there r rows of houses there mah wif BBQ pits) n surprisingly, there is a childcare centre there...looks not bad...gonna find out more abt the CC and if it is good, can enrol Amadeus there next time...the last place we went to is Punggol Marina Country Club. Another surprise, there is a Church located there lor at the 2nd level! There is also a steamboat buffet there so I told hb tat we can try out the buffet there next time...tat's all folks for the day...too bad no pics as I didn't bring my camera wif me :(
