Happy 18th Mth, Baobei :)

Today is Christmas Eve and also the day Amadeus turns 18th mth. But sadly, on this day, he happens to be unwell and had fever on-and-off. We brought him to see a GP just to make sure. The doc say Amadeus had a toe infection caused by an ingrown nail and need to be on anti-biotics but the infection might not be causing the fever so we can only monitor him for these few days to see whether there are any more other symptoms. Hb and I can only hope that it will be nothing serious. On a happier note, he is still eating well and very active so we are not that worried.

At 18th mth, Amadeus can do the following things though he is slow in speaking, and we are proud of him:

1) He can understand most of our instructions to him or what we are talking about...

2) He will sit near our front door waiting for us to put on/take off his shoes when we are going out/coming home...

3) He knows how to open all the rooms' doors without us teaching him...

4) He will take his dirty diaper and walk to the kitchen entrance waiting for me to open the gate before proceeding to the dustbin to throw the diaper...

5) He will immediately imitate our action after we done it...

6) He is able to blow his nose when I said, "sniff" to him...

The above are wat I can remember for now...Will update his progress again later on if any...

18th Mth Bash cum X'mas Party (dtd 13th Dec 2008)

We had a 18th mth bash cum X'mas party for our toddlers on the 13th of Dec. It was a gathering for the SMH June MTBs. It was held at a function room of one of the mummies' condo.

It was nice to catch up wif all the mummies again since the last big gathering was the 6th mth bash. Amadeus had fun running around the place and it was also the 2nd time tat Amadeus opened his mouth to eat cake...really caught us by surprise as the 1st time tat he ate a cake was when he was 1 yr old!

Exam results...

Finally I gotta all my exam results...quite pleased wif it...got a Distinction for Global Marketing and a Credit for Managing Change...very happy! I was so scared tat I will fail my Managing Change n now I can finally heaved a sign of relief...so now left wif 1 module to complete next sem and I can graduate wif a degree liao! Really can't wait :)

Amadeus had spoiled my laptop so I was not able to blog about the recent events...Pls be patient n I will update as soon as my laptop is back from the service centre...

2 hard kicks on my tummy...

The lil one inside me gave me 2 hard kicks on my tummy jus now...caught me by surprise as I havent felt any movement from the lil one until now...felt a bit excited but at the same time, painful...Amadeus never gave me such hard kicks before...hee hee...longing to feel the lil one more but too bad the kicks stopped for the nite.

Hoping to feel more of the lil one movements soon...can't wait to see my baby on my next check-up :)

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary

Today is our 2nd ROM cum Customary Wedding Anniversary :)


I love this 3 photos!!!

Though this is only our 2nd anniverary, we had come a long way. We came together when I'm 18 and he 21 yrs old. We gone thru alot of bad as well as good times. I like to thank him for being so patient wif me and for being able to bear wif my bad-temper.

Hope tat in the yrs to come, we will still be able to walk hand-in-hand and grow old together.

In 8 more hrs time....

we will be on the plane to Hong Kong! Really excited as this is the first time Amadeus is taking a plane. Hope he will be able to adapt well. But 1 bad thing is, his cough came back 2 days ago n seems to be getting worse. Hope tat he will recover soon after taking the med and we will be able to enjoy our holiday!

My Birthday Celebrations

24th Nov - Met up wif my Poly frenz for dinner at Marche at Vivo City and then shopping at Daiso b4 hb drove us home.

27th Nov - Met up wif my Sec Sch frenz for dinner at Melben Crab at Toa Payoh Lor 8. I still prefer the black pepper crab at Joo Chiat. Tat is the best! Then at midnite, hb surprise me wif a birthday cake.

28th Nov - Hb and I went for a buffet dinner at Melting pot at Holiday Inn. The food was not bad but the variety was really limited. So will not recommend u all to go there for buffet. U will be disappointed by the variety.

Happy 17th Mth, Baobei :)

Amadeus turns 17th mth today. Though he is slow in speaking, he can understand numerous instructions from us. He is also very fast in imitating our actions and every so often, he will amaze/amuse us wif a new action/stunt (will show pics/videos another time).

Hb & I are glad to see him growing so well. We just hope that he can be more healthy n fall sick less often and remain cheerful always.

DisneyLive! Three Classic Fairy Tales

After much hesitation, we decided to bring Amadeus to watch this Disney musical which consists of 3 fairy tales: Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella and Beauty & The Beast. We went for the 7pm show. We were seated at the 4th row from the front so we had a bird's eye view of the musical. Amadeus was quite fascinated by the musical, the singing, dancing and the numerous different characters.

Hb and I were very happy to see him being able to sit still on my lap and watch intently at what was happening on the stage. He only got restless after the interval and kept wanting to touch an Indian lady's hair sitting in front of us...he only paid attention when it was the closing ceremony where all the characters were coming out and he was also fascinated by the paper confetti at the end. Overall, we were glad that he was quite a good boy and hb was already thinking of watching the next Disney on Ice in March next year.

3 days in Shanghai...

Hb went to Shanghai for work for 3 days from 10th to 12th Nov...luckily it was for a short time only as Amadeus was down wif cough and flu and I'm afraid that I cant manage without him around.

Luckily I managed to survive....hahaha...it was tough taking care of sick Amadeus as he had difficulty sleeping at nite due to his coughing and he had fever on and off and this resulted in me needing to take his temperature now and then and sponging him, hence making me very tired.

So when we went to fetch hb at the airport on the 12th Nov, I immediately passed Amadeus to him to take care so that I can take a break.

See, Amadeus had slimmed down after being sick for a week and still haven't recovered yet...

2nd Gynae Appointment

Hb and Amadeus accompanied me to KKH for my 2nd gynae appt...Baby is now abt 11 weeks old and is 41.7mm long. Through the scan, we can that the baby is very active and is kicking his legs away and Dr Anthony mentioned that the baby is also very healthy. We are glad to hear that.

Next visit will be on the 14th Nov for the Premier Fetal Screening...tink tat is to check for down syndrome if I'm not wrong.

Dearest Amadeus,

Daddy & mummy are so glad to have you in our lives as you have brought much joy and laughter to us. Though you are naughty and will made us mad sometimes, you always manage to appease us by your charming smile.

We just hope that you will always be healthy and cheerful and you will always be our lil baobei even though you gonna have a sibling soon :)
