Injection Time

Amadeus was supposed to have his last dose of 5-in-1...but the GP suggested to let him took 6-in-1 instead so that next mth, he don't have to jab another time for Hep B...and he, as usual, did not cry at all...he jus stared at the GP while he was getting the jab ready...the GP also commented tat Amadeus must be very easy to take care of as he seems to be able to self-entertained...i told the GP not to be fooled by his cheerfulness as he needs attention alot...hee hee...Like the previous 2 jabs, he didn't had any fever and I'm thankful for that :) There was no pics during his injection time as there was no photographer available.

His stats as at 5 mths and 6 days:

Weight: 7.76kg (75th percentile)
Height: 70cm (90th percentile)
Head circumference: 41cm

Don't know why Amadeus likes to stick out his tongue so much...it is such a bad habit and it is very ugly lor! Hopefully he will outgrown this habit soon...

My Birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!

Yesterday hubby secretly bought me a cake n intend to surprise me at midnite...but who knows, he asked me to help him pour a drink and when I open the freezer to get some ice cubes, I saw the cake!!! hahaha..."wat a nice surprise"....initially still wondering whether should I just keep quiet n pretend never see the cake...but i jus couldn't...so i asked hubby,"you buy cake for me huh? I saw it leh...what flavour is the cake huh? going to give me a surprise? too bad...hee hee". He is speechless and don't know how to answer me...kekekeke...(forget to take pics of cake)

He bought a Casio Camera for me...I wanted to buy a new one sometimes back as the old one was very bulky and the pic not clear when there is slight movement...This morning at around 10+am, the door bell rang...Guess wat? There standing at the doorstep was a flower delivery guy...Hubby specially ordered a bouquet of white roses and 3 teddy bears for me! I was SO SURPRISED!!! SO TOUCHED!!! Thanks Dear :)

We went to Aquamarine at Marina Mandarin for dinner....the buffet was nice and there were alot of seafoods and sashimi...yum yum...had a nice and peaceful dinner wif hubby as we deposit Amadeus at my SIL's place...

My birthday pressie from hubby...besides the camera, the rest are free gifts...very worth it...

On a Mission

Today we decided to go Robinsons at Raffles City as we needed to buy a bouncer for Amadeus to sit but we couldn't find the model tat we want and hence, we decided to go to Kiddy Palace at Toa Payoh to buy. When the saleswoman showed us some samples, Amadeus was very excited and keep moving his hands and legs in his carrier when we looked at a Fisher Price rocker...think he was captivated by the hanging toys and kept smiling and looking at the rocker...so we let him sit on it and he liked it alot and keep grasping at the hanging toys and even attempted to put the toy into his mouth...Faint! So we decided to buy that as the rocker can hold a maximum weight of 18kg and we presume that Amadeus can use this rocker till he is 1 to 2 years old :)

Amadeus almost fell into the hole between the bed and the wall...luckily I caught him in time...my heart nearly stopped!

The 5th Month

Happy 5th Months Old, Baobei!!!

Time really flies and in a flash, Amadeus is already 5 months old. I'm glad and proud that I had managed to take care of him myself all this while and remains sane and witness all the little things tat he did except his 1st flip :(

At 5 months old, he loves to:

- flip & flip,

- put things into his mouth, anything tat he can get hold on,

- suck his fingers,

- laugh & he laughs easily,

- play peek-a-boo and anything as long as there is someone to play with him,

- pull his clothes and clothes of the person who carry him,

- smell his small pillow made of tea leaves (will put him to sleep very fast),

- watch TV (hope he don't become a TV addict next time),

- play with water,

- scratch his head when he is going to fall asleep,

- shout, scream and make noises,

- blow bubbles with his saliva.

Do you think Amadeus' look has changed ever since he was borned on 24th June? I managed to take pics on the 24th of every mth except in October...grrrrrrrrrr

Kyan Huang is Born!

My friend delivered her baby boy thru c-section yesterday night. His name is Kyan Huang and he is 3.58kg and 51cm long...went to visit her at KKH this afternoon with Amadeus...Kyan is such a cute and chubby baby and he has a lot of hair and I mean ALOT!!! I love his hair so much...if only Amadeus has so much hair...

Amadeus was a bit cranky when he was there. But when he was not crying, he was a joy to play with...

Amadeus loves to put his legs up in the bar...notice his bare feet? He peed during diaper changing n soaked his socks with urine...

First Wedding Dinner

We brought Amadeus for his first wedding dinner on 18/11/07 at Copthorne King's Hotel. It was quite a disaster! Initially when we reached the restaurant, he was ok....but when people requested to carry him and passed from one person to another, he started wailing until his whole face turned red...Hubby quickly took him out of the restaurant and tried to pacify him. He took quite sometime before Amadeus calmed down and fell asleep...by then we were already halfway through the dinner...Hence, we decided not to bring him for the next wedding dinner on the 29/11/07 and instead hubby will go alone while I stayed at home to look after him.

Next year we will also have a few wedding dinners to attend...hopefully by then, he will be used to all the attention bestowed on him, as well as, all the "bao bao".

The Dream Bag

As Amadeus gets bigger and not able to be swaddle, I decided to buy the dream bag for him from a Bulk Purchase at a price of $45 after a 10% discount. I am afraid that he will kick his blanket away when sleeping and gets a cold in his air-con room.

The advantages of the dream bag are:
• Unlike blankets, it cannot be kicked off during the night so baby does not get cold and wake up
• Baby knows it’s naptime or bedtime when placed in the dream bag
• It is safe as it cannot slip over baby’s head
• Baby can be cuddled to sleep in it and put in their cot without waking
• Baby’s feet are less likely to get caught in the bars of their cot when snug in the dream bag

I seem to be advertising for the company hor but this dream bag is really not bad and Amadeus is also happy to be sleeping in it...so the money spent was worth it lor...

New Sleeping Position

Now that Amadeus can flip, he has a new sleeping position, ie, to sleep sideway...in the past, he only sleeps on his back but now he can turn here and there...This new position also helps him to fall asleep faster which is a good news for us...
