Updates on Amadeus' Sickness

Amadeus seems to be recovering from his blocked nose and his rashes on his neck almost disappeared liao after applying the cream...the cream is really 'shen qi'...I apply just once on his neck and the next day, his rashes almost gone! So now I just apply once a day instead of twice daily as I am afraid the cream will be too strong for him...but another problem comes up...Amadeus seems to be suffering from diarhorrea again...He had been pooing quite watery poo almost after every feed...now I'm still observing him...hope his poo will return back to normal...

My friend and cousin had commented that the way we placed the bed and the cot in Amadeus' room is no good - very bad fengshui...now I'm starting to think whether this bad fengshui contributed to my recent sickness and Amadeus' sickness...I think I better take precaution and changed the bed layout to prevent more problems from coming up...

Botak Amadeus

After bringing Amadeus to see PD for his blocked nose, we took him to Fantastic Sam at Forum for his 1st shave as he is 4th mths old today based on lunar calendar...he was rather grouchy throughout the shaving process...must be the flu med, made him drowsy...

A bit angry with the receptionist at the salon...my sis told me that the 1st haircut for baby is free and just to confirm, I called up b4 I went down...the receptionist confirmed that the 1st haircut is free...but after his shave, they asked me to pay $17.90 and one of the staff said that the promotion is over when I clarify with them...Stupid receptionist! I'm not heartpain over the money, its just that I felt cheated as I could have went to another salon nearer to my place and and need not travel to Orchard and incurred the high carpark charges!

Amadeus is sick :(

Today brought Amadeus to The Kid's Clinic to see Dr Lilian Lim as he seems to have blocked nose...when reached the clinic, the nurse took his weight...he is only 7.1kg! He only put on 300g since the last time the nurse weighed him which is about 1 mth ago..think we have to revert back to 4 hourly per feed so that he will have 5 feedings per day instead of only 4 feeding at 5 hourly at 180ml...back to the point, Dr Lilian confirmed tat he got blocked nose and mouth flu which is a virus infection that is airborne (think he kana it last week at SIL's place)...he also had heat rashes and fungal infection at his neck and poor Amadeus also got sensitive nose inherited from me...and lastly, he also got a bit of eczema at his left ear and behind both ears....so many problems...but Dr Lilian say he is very good as he still can play with her as she examined him...like as if he is not sick...hee hee...Amadeus is a strong boy! So proud of him! Hope he gets well soon as he is going for his 2nd 5-in-1 jab next Friday.

A busy day shuttling around

Last Sunday, hubby brought me and Amadeus to meet his friends for lunch at a Japanese restaurant at Central Mall. Forgotten the name of the restaurant but the food there was nice n the price was reasonable...Amadeus also had his fun as some of hubby's friends took turns to carry him and take photos of him.

After tat, we went to sister-in-law's place in Yishun and stayed there for the whole afternoon...had vegetarian pizza made by SIL for dinner and Amadeus got to spend some time with his cousin(SIL's son) at the dinning table...hopefully they will become good playmates in future...as SIL will be helping me to babysit Amadeus next year when I went back to school, we decided to bring him there more often so that he will be familiar with the surroundings and the people over there.

In the evening, we sent FIL's home before we headed back to punggol. Amadeus was so tired after the day's outing and also it was his feeding time that he cried till so ke lian after I bathe him...kept crying and crying and so hubby fed him his milk first before we continued dressing him in his pyjamas and put him to bed.

Last Saturday, my hubby needed to go back to office to clear some work so Amadeus and I stayed at home...initially, he wanted to go back on Sunday morning as Saturday is our outing day but I asked him to go back on Saturday as I was a bit lazy to go out cos I went out on Wednesday and Friday nites meeting my friends; Thursday afternoon, I brought Amadeus to my sis's place and went for dinner with hubby in the evening...so wanted to rest...hee hee...Amadeus must be thinking, "how come I'm at home today?"...and must be unhappy that we didn't go out as he was quite cranky after hubby went back to office...had a tough time pacifying him...really tires me out.

Hubby brought Amadeus to our room and disturbed my beauty sleep (hubby takes care of Amadeus in the weekends so that I can get more rest):

Frustrated Amadeus

Nowadays, Amadeus likes to turn to one side and tries to flip over...but he still has not reached that stage...so after several tries, he will become frustrated n scream...hahaha...I will then comfort him saying, don't worry baobei, you will be able to flip over one of these days...and sometimes he seems to understand what I say and when he don't, I will carry him and comfort him....hope he will be able to flip over soon...

Back to Serangoon Home

Hubby wanted to pay respect to his mother so we brought Amadeus to Serangoon yesterday. After that we went for dinner with my father-in-law and brother-in-law...During dinner, Amadeus kept shouting for attention but I ignored him n stuffed pacifer into his mouth but he persisted until hubby carried him then he stop shouting immediately...naughty boy. I took over from hubby after I finished dinner and he soon fell asleep sitting on my lap...think he must be tired out from all the shouting...after dinner, we went to Junction 8 to buy some groceries and thermometer for Amadeus before we went home.

Ikea & Northpoint

Yesterday we brought Amadeus to Ikea as we need to buy some household stuffs...It had been 3 months plus since I last went...I missed their chicken wings but too bad I cannot eat them as I had cough and sore throat so settled for their meatballs instead for lunch...Amadeus was very cooperative and slept throughout our lunch but shortly after, he started to fuss and hubby had to carry him...now tat Amadeus are more active, he will keep moving side to side in the stroller and he also likes to put his legs on the stroller bar...very rough but luckily, he is a boy so still ok...

In the evening, we went to Yishun as I needed to buy some medicine and so we had our dinner at the foodcourt in Northpoint. Since we will be there for a while only, hubby decided to use the carrier to carry Amadeus and he managed to fall asleep in there :)


p/s: Saturday was hubby 1st time clearing the poo for Amadeus...finally he decided to move his butt after so much nagging from me...hee hee
